Dolphins and 49ers in hot pursuit of Stanford coach Harbaugh

Tonight the San Francisco 49ers ownership met with Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh fresh off a Orange Bowl victory. They met in a “undisclosed” area for a few hours on the West coast according to multiple reports.  Some believed it was a done deal that Harbaugh would accept the job to coach the niners.. but now it seems its not.

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is on a plane right now headed towards the West coast to meet with Harbaugh about possibly coaching the team which plays in the very stadium he just won his first Bowl victory. No word yet when and where they will meet, but I have a feeling more teams will be meeting with him before the weekend is done.

Until he decides to stay at Stanford when they triple his salary…

Haha, Yeah I was thinking of the exact same thing. I personally feel he will end up in the NFL coaching against his brother. I also believe it will be at either one of the west coach Cali teams ( 49ers or Raiders ). I think he has a good chance in Oakland because he was the back up QB for the team in 2002-2003. I guess we will have to wait a few days and see how this plays out..i’m shocked Carolina wouldn’t want him considering they have the first overall draft pick and QB Andrew Luck is expected to be the first pick.
