The San Francisco 49ers have hired Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh to a 5 year contract worth at least $25 million. It was known the 49ers were the main team in the hunt to sign the Orange Bowl winning football coach, but as of recently it was much speculated that Harbaugh would return to Stanford much like his QB Andrew Luck.
