Packers pluck the Eagles out of the playoffs

The Green Bay Packers shocked all of Philadelphia tonight as they stun the Eagles in a 21-16 victory to move onto the next round of the playoffs.  The Packers took an early 10-0 lead against the Eagles. Eagles kicker David Akers missed 2 field goals that would be very costly. After half time, Eagles QB Michael Vick started orchestrating an amazing comeback, but it all came to an end too soon. With 1:10 left on the clock in the 4th quarter, and the score of 21-16, Vick leads them down the field, hikes the ball, pump fakes to the right, throws it left and into the hands of a Packers defender.

It was a tragic end to the Eagles season. QB Michael Vick entered the season as a back up QB which many people had doubts about and little to no respect for. He then came into the limelight as a starter when QB Kevin Kolb got hurt from a sack by Packers LB Clay Matthews in week 1 of the NFL season. From that point on, Vick became one of the most successful QB’s this NFL season. Nobody expected Vick to lead the Eagles into the playoffs, but when he did get them there, nobody expected them to lose in the first round.

The Packers will now face the Falcons next week in Atlanta, while the Eagles have to work on signing QB Michael Vick to a long term deal, or find someone willing to make a trade for him, and making QB Kevin Kolb the franchise quarterback like they said he was at the beginning of this season. If they decide to keep Vick, look for Kolb to land in either San Fran, Minnesota or Carolina.
