LSU has many more Miles ahead

LSU and head coach Les Miles agree to a 7 year contract extension worth $3.75 million per season. Miles was expected to become the next Michigan head football coach, but shortly after the interview took place sources came out and said Miles decided to stay put in Louisiana.

Browns hire Shurmer as head coach

The Cleveland Browns have announced they have hired St Louis Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmer as the teams next head coach. Shurmer had been  the offensive coordinator with the Rams for the past two seasons, but with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1998-2008 as their OC.

Stanford promotes OC to HC

The Stanford Cardinals have promoted offensive coordinator David Shaw to head coach to replace the departed Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh left Stanford to become the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL.

Cam Newton to the NFL

BCS Champions Auburn will be losing their star. Cam Newton, the schools Heisman trophy winning QB, has announced he will leave school to enter the 2011 NFL Draft. It is expected that Newton will be drafted late in the first round or early in the second. I projected the Buffalo Bills taking him in the first round.

Childress to Miami?

Multiple media outlets are reporting that former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress is expected to meet with the Miami Dolphins to become the teams next offensive coordinator. Childress was fired as head coach of the Vikings earlier this season.

UConn hires former Orange boss

The University of Connecticut  has hired former Syracuse University head football coach Paul Pasqualoni as the teams next head coach.
